Benjamin Fortier is an award-winning poet and author whose work explores the intersections of memory, service, and the human spirit. A Marine Corps veteran, he has published several collections of poetry, including The Silent Whispers of Omens (2009), Stones of the Wooded Valley (2019), and Phantoms (2023), the latter earning the prestigious 2024 Robert A. Gannon Award for its powerful contribution to contemporary war literature. His writing has also appeared in anthologies such as Afterthoughts, War... & After, and So Long: The Anthology of Poet Warriors.
